Alabama at Birmingham, Albany, Arkansas, Boston University and Rosalind Franklin are on Nov. 2.

Hold the last 2026 test dates against those. A Sept. 3 or Sept. 4 exam scores on Oct. 6, which is after Oct. 1 but comfortably before Oct. 15. A Sept. 11 or Sept. 12 exam scores on Oct. 13, two days before the Oct. 15 group.

Three things keep this from being as scary as it looks:

• The deadline is a submission deadline. Your application has to be submitted, not processed, by 11:59 p.m. ET on that date, and the AAMC grants no extensions for any reason.
• Your score reaches AMCAS on its own. Scores are released to AMCAS automatically, so a score that posts after you submit still attaches itself to your application. The flip side is that you cannot withhold a score you would rather not send.

What to do during the 31 to 33 day wait

The wait is long enough to matter and short enough that decisions made badly in it are hard to undo. Three things are worth doing.

Know your reschedule cutoff before you need it. The AAMC's 10 Day Deadline is the last date you can schedule, reschedule or cancel a reservation, and the last date you can edit registration details such as your name or address.
