Gold Standard sells a DAT question bank of more than 3,500 questions covering every section of the exam, and you cannot buy it. It appears as one line of bonus text on the DAT practice tests page, attached to the $199 package of twelve full-length tests, and no page on the site sells it under its own name.
That is the whole story of this product. The content is broad and the price is low. Finding it, and knowing what you are agreeing to when you buy it, is the hard part.

Gold Standard DAT question bank overview
Gold Standard Multimedia Education runs separate sites for the MCAT, DAT, OAT, USMLE and GAMSAT, and dat-prep.com is the DAT one. The DAT arm sells three things: the six-book Masters Series, online full-length practice tests, and the question bank that comes attached to the tests.

The practice tests deserve one clarification that Gold Standard makes in small print. GS-1 is the online version of the paper exam already printed in the Masters Series PAT book, and GS-2 comes free with the six-book set. If you own the books, two of the twelve tests are material you have paid for once already.
Gold Standard DAT review for 2026
It is the only DAT question bank we list that touches the sciences
Our DAT question bank listing held two products before this one, and both are free quantitative reasoning worksheet sets from Effortless Math and Math Notion. The ADA's DAT 2026 Candidate Guide sets the exam at 280 scored items: 100 in the Survey of the Natural Sciences, 90 in Perceptual Ability, 50 in Reading Comprehension and 40 in Quantitative Reasoning. Those worksheets reach the last 40.

Gold Standard reaches all 280, and the Perceptual Ability coverage is the part worth pausing on. The PAT is the section students most often under-prepare, it is scored and reported separately from the Academic Average, and it is the hardest section to build drills for because every item is a picture. A bank that includes it is doing something most content banks skip.
Breadth is not the same as depth, and it would be wrong to suggest Gold Standard has built a Natural Sciences bank on the scale of what DAT Bootcamp or DAT Booster offer inside their courses. It has not. What it has built is a bank that does not leave a section out.
The pricing is honest and the packaging is not
Every number on the Gold Standard site is published. There is no quote form, no "contact us for pricing", no trial that converts into a subscription. For $199 you know exactly what you are paying and for how long.
The packaging is the problem. A student who searches for a DAT question bank will land on a page about practice tests, and the only mention of the bank is a subordinate clause in a bullet about a discount. There is no product page, no sample question, no breakdown of the 3,500 items by section, no indication of whether you can filter by topic or review missed questions the way a modern bank lets you. On the tests themselves, Gold Standard is specific: you can repeat any section as often as you want during your access period, and every attempt is saved with your scores, answers and explanations. On the bank it says nothing at all.
The same inattention shows elsewhere on the site. The support pages still answer questions about a four-book set and a DAT TopScore Pro licence key, neither of which appears in any package sold today. None of that means the questions are bad. It does mean nobody has looked at these pages in a while, and you are buying without a sample.
Nothing is refundable, and that changes the decision
Gold Standard's published policy is one sentence: "We do not provide refunds nor accept returns on any tangible and online material purchased." There is no trial period, no partial refund for unused time, and access cannot be transferred to another student. If your seven months run out before test day, the company states plainly that there are no extensions and that you buy the package again.
This is the harshest policy on any paid DAT product we list. Mometrix, at the other end, takes physical returns for a full year. Gold Standard's answer is that it offers a free abbreviated exam so you can judge the questions before you pay, and that answer is fair as far as it goes: the free exam is real and it uses different questions from the paid ones. But it samples the practice tests, not the question bank, so the 3,500 items you are mainly paying for are the part you cannot preview.
Treat the $199 as spent the moment you click. If that is uncomfortable, take the free exam first.

At $199 for seven months of access, the question bank works out at about $28 for each month you can use it. The two courses students actually weigh it against, DAT Bootcamp and DAT Booster, both start at $549 for ninety days, which is about $183 a month. Those are fuller products with video lessons and structured schedules, so this is not a like-for-like comparison. It is still a sixth of the monthly cost, and the access window is more than twice as long.
The books are priced separately and they are worth a quick note, because the bundle maths is not what it looks like. The Masters Series runs to six volumes: Biology, General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry and Perceptual Ability at $44.95 each, Quantitative Reasoning at $29.99 and Reading Comprehension at $19.99. Bought one at a time that comes to $229.78, and adding the $19.99 erasable noteboard brings it to $249.77 against the $249.00 set price. The set saves you 77 cents on the goods. What it actually saves is the $15 flat shipping fee, which the set waives.
The eBook set is the better deal of the two. It is $119.95 for all six, against $124.74 if you buy the same six eBooks individually, and it carries six months of online access rather than the twelve months a registered paperback owner gets.
One recurring charge exists and it is easy to miss: unlimited access to the Natural Sciences videos is $39.95 a month, cancellable at any time. That is also the only way Gold Standard offers to keep studying once your practice test access expires.
Who Gold Standard DAT is best for
- Students who want maximum question volume for the smallest outlay. Nothing else in DAT prep puts 3,500 questions and twelve full-length exams within $199, and the seven-month window covers a normal prep cycle end to end.
- Anyone whose weakest section is Perceptual Ability. The PAT is included in both the bank and all twelve tests, which is not true of most content-focused banks. Our free PAT practice tool will tell you in twenty minutes whether that describes you.
- Students who already own a course and want more practice. If Bootcamp or Booster has run out of fresh questions, $199 buys a completely separate item pool from a different author.
- Retakers on a budget. If you have already done content review once and need drilling rather than teaching, this is the cheapest way to get a large volume of it.
When you might look elsewhere
You want a course, not a bank. Gold Standard teaches through books and explanation videos, not a structured curriculum. DAT Bootcamp and DAT Booster both cost more and both give you a study schedule, analytics and a far better interface.
You need to be able to change your mind. There is no refund here under any circumstances. If that risk matters more than the price, buy something with a return window.
You mainly want full-length exams. Twelve is generous, but two of them overlap with the books, and if realistic mock exams are the whole requirement then DAT Cracker and the other products on our DAT practice tests listing are built for exactly that.
Your timeline is longer than seven months. Access does not pause and cannot be extended. If you are starting early, buy later.
Final verdict
Gold Standard has the broadest DAT question bank we list at the lowest price, and the least appealing way of selling it. More than 3,500 questions across all four sections, twelve full-length tests, seven months of access and a single $199 payment is a genuinely strong offer, particularly against courses at $549 for ninety days. The Perceptual Ability coverage is a real advantage that most banks do not match.
Against that: you cannot buy the bank by itself, no page describes it beyond one clause, no sample of it exists, nothing is refundable, and parts of the site have not been updated in years.
