Bootcamp's recommended start is simple: read the study guide, build your schedule, and follow it. There is no guesswork about what to do first, which is the thing most students actually struggle with.

The Study Schedule Generator

This is the biggest 2026 upgrade, and it is the reason a self-paced course can feel structured.

The old approach was three printable PDFs: a 1-month, 2-month, and 3-month schedule. Those still exist and are free to download. The new approach is a generator inside the platform. You enter your start date, your exam date, and the days you cannot study, and it produces a day-by-day plan that covers the entire course, with each assignment linked directly to the lesson, case, or question set it refers to.

The part that matters is what happens when life gets in the way. You can move assignments, change your study speed, or rebalance the whole schedule if you fall behind, and it redistributes the remaining work rather than leaving you with a wall of overdue tasks. Every other course in this price range gives you a static PDF and wishes you luck.

Think of it as a tutor for the "but why is that wrong?" moment. It is a supplement, not a replacement for the written rationales, and you should treat its answers the way you would treat any AI explanation: helpful for clarifying, not the final word on a drug dose.

Crash Course Videos

Bootcamp added crash course videos covering the high-yield concepts that show up most on the NCLEX, with a short quiz after each lesson to check you retained it. Each one is a slide-based lesson with Dr. Emily on camera, and each opens with an outline so you know exactly what it covers.

They are targeted review, not a full lecture series, and they are best used for the topics your performance tracker flags as weak.

140+ Cheat Sheets

The cheat sheets are one-page printable summaries of must-know topics: analgesics, fluid and electrolytes, delegation, fetal monitoring, prioritization, and so on. Members get more than 140. Bootcamp publishes a subset for free, and we reviewed those separately.

Practice Tests and Readiness Exams

Beyond the cases and the bank, Bootcamp gives you custom tests and four readiness exams.

Custom tests let you pull from cases, standalone questions, or both, filtered by subject, and tag questions as Learning, Reviewing, or Mastered so you can build review sets of the ones that gave you trouble.

The readiness exams are full-length, 100-question mocks that rate your likelihood of passing as Low, Borderline, High, or Very High, with a breakdown by subject and body system and personalized recommendations on what to review next.

One honest limitation: the readiness exams are fixed-length, not computer-adaptive. Archer, Kaplan, and UWorld all offer a CAT-style exam that mimics how the real test adjusts difficulty. Bootcamp's pass prediction is still a reliable signal, but if you want to feel the adaptive shutoff before test day, you will not get that here.

Performance Analytics and the Pass Targets Tracker

After each readiness exam you can compare your results to other Bootcamp users and drill into performance by subject and system.

Bootcamp says 99% of students who hit all three pass the NCLEX. Whatever you make of a company's own number, the targets themselves are a useful forcing function, because they are also the conditions of the guarantee, and you can see at a glance how far you are from each one.

The Pass Guarantee, in Plain Terms

Bootcamp's guarantee is a full refund, which puts it in a different category from most of its competitors. Archer's Sure PASS and SimpleNursing's Full Journey guarantee both pay out as extended access, not money.

To qualify, per the pricing page:

1. You bought the 2-month or 3-month plan at least 30 days before your exam date.
2. You met all three Pass Targets before test day.

Updated for the 2026 NCLEX-RN Test Plan

The 2026 NCLEX-RN test plan took effect April 1, 2026 and runs through March 2029. The changes are small: the passing standard did not move, the client needs categories and their percentages are unchanged, and the edits are mostly wording, such as "Safety and Infection Control" becoming "Safety and Infection Prevention and Control" and "substance abuse" becoming "substance misuse," plus a new statement on unbiased care and equal access.

Bootcamp's content is aligned to the 2026 plan and the site says so plainly. Practically, if you are testing in 2026 you do not need to do anything differently, and you should be suspicious of anyone selling a "new NCLEX" panic.
