Nursing Basic gets the video library, the cheat sheets, spaced repetition and Bookmatcher, and nothing else. Lecturio's own plan card says so plainly: Basic is "without Qbank and smart exam prep features."

The question count depends on which Lecturio page you read

This is the thing to know before you buy. Lecturio publishes three different figures for the same question bank across its own channels, all live on the day this review was written.

The nursing pricing page, the source for the plan prices further down, advertises "5,050+ board-style Practice Questions" under the Premium feature list. The NCLEX-RN product page advertises "3,000+ practice questions covering all NCLEX-RN topics including Med-Surg and Pharmacology." The Google Play listing says Premium includes "3,900+ NCLEX Exam Practice Questions."

The most likely reading is that 5,050+ counts the whole nursing Qbank, including end-of-course and NCLEX-PN items, while 3,000+ is the NCLEX-RN subset. Lecturio does not say that anywhere, so plan around the smallest number. Three thousand questions is a respectable bank, but it is below the 3,100+ Archer advertises and well below what a student who drills daily for eight weeks will get through.

The video counts wobble the same way. The pricing page says 3,500+ video lessons, while the Play listing mentions both "2,000+ Videos (Totaling 160+ Hours)" in its feature list and "7,200+ Videos" under Premium on the same page. None of this means the content is thin. It means the marketing numbers are not maintained together, so do not choose between apps on the headline figure alone.

Teaching first, testing second

Where Lecturio is clearly strong is explanation. The library is built around short, concise lessons with downloadable slides, and the student testimonial Lecturio chooses to feature on its own Play listing praises Rhonda Lawes and the slides rather than the question bank. That is a fair read of where the product's weight sits. If you came out of nursing school able to recognize the right answer but not explain it, that is the gap this app is built to close.

The Qbank supports that: every rationale links back to the video that covers the concept, so a wrong answer becomes a five-minute lesson rather than a paragraph. The AI Tutor adds Socratic prompts inside the Qbank. It is still in beta, and Lecturio's own FAQ warns that AI Assistant answers are not reviewed by a medical professional and may contain minor errors, so check the source material when something reads oddly.

Offline downloads are the practical advantage over the competition. Archer's app streams everything, so your practice stops when the connection does. Lecturio lets you download videos and study on a commute, which is the difference between using dead time and losing it.

The nursing app rates 4.8 stars from 3,241 ratings on the App Store and 4.78 stars from 1,452 ratings on Google Play. Both are strong, and both are well short of the volume behind the most-downloaded NCLEX apps, which matches the DB note that Lecturio is less known in nursing circles than UWorld or Nursing.com.

Prices inside the app match the website almost exactly. The App Store lists 1-month Premium at $49.99, 3-month at $89.99 and 12-month at $239.99, against $49.99, $89.97 and $239.88 on the web, so buying through the app costs you cents rather than the markup some apps apply. New subscriptions start with 7 days free and are billed when the trial ends. There is no pass guarantee on any tier, which separates Lecturio from NCLEX RN Mastery and from Archer's Sure PASS plans.
